Immediately four models of cars produced by Mitsubishi concern were in the midst of a scandal. We are talking about the mini-cars Dayz and Dayz Roox, which were sold under the Nissan brand, as well as the models eK Wagon and eK Space, manufactured by Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi started production of cars for Nissan in the summer of 2013.

In the hometown of automobile giants, about half a million people became owners of minicars by Nissan. After the release of information on the underestimation of fuel consumption in cars, intended for Japanese consumers, sales of the above models ceased. At the moment, brands are discussing the amount of compensation for violations.

Mitsubishi deceived consumers, selling them cars models eK Wagon and eK Space. A total of about 157 thousand Japanese purchased these cars.

Note that all four models belong to the class of key cars, the volume of their engines is only 660 cubic centimeters. Such machines are not exported and are sold only in the domestic market.

Because of the scandal, on April 20, the shares of Mitsubishi Motors demonstrated a rapid decline during the day at the Tokyo Stock Exchange. As a result, the shares collapsed to a minimum of twelve years, having fallen in price by 15%.
